Information about Healite LED Light Thereapy for Dermal Fillers

Conditions treated is swelling, redness, bruising, inflammation from such as lip filler, cheek filler, jaw filler & tear trough filler.

How it’s performed?
You would typically lie down on our treatment bed to expose the area to be treated. The Healite II light head is positioned approximately a hand width away from the treatment area. The LED light that is emitted by the device is safe for eyes, but the orange/red light is bright, so some may prefer to wear block-out goggles which we can provide. Our Registered Nurse selects the appropriate Healite II settings for the condition being treated and turns the device on.

How long is each treatment?
Each treatment typically last 10-15 minutes. After treatment, your ready to go and leave the clinic.

Preparation
All cosmetic including makeup needs to be removed including any tinted moisturiser or sunscreen on the day of treatment.

Pain & Side effects
There are no known significant side effects to LED light therapy. Healite II treatments are safe, completely pain free and have no downtime.

Follow-up
A series of treatments is typically recommended. Otherwise there is no follow-up required.

Contraindications
Photosensitivy is the main contraindication for Healite II treatments. This may be due to a medical condition such as migraine or epilepsy, photosensitising topical compounds or medication (for example, doxycycline).

How many treatments will I need?
The number of sessions required will depend on the condition being treated. For most areas we would generally recommend one or two sessions per filler treatments spaced out by a few days.
